Today was a stay at camp day. No packing up. No pulling out. I got up and lit the fire. Col helped out.

Going nowhere enjoying the morning sunshine.

We each phaffed with various jobs around camp. Phil helped me decant almost 40 litres from jerry cans on the camper into the car. Col and Phil also put fuel in their cars.

We all attached solar panels to vehicles. I phaffed with tyre pressure monitoring system. Stef and Meg tried to fix their dicky back door latch.
Mary M played with her cameras getting them connected to the phone.
General tidying up and usual breakfast, cuppas and dishes.

Mary and I went for a short walk along the track (warm up walk for my exercises). Saw a cool uprooted tree with amazing round rocks all bound up in the roots.
The sun has shone all day and is quite hot, t- shirt weather – yippee! There’s even a few flies.

Camp.

I got my GLa:D exercises done again today and a late lunch of soup and sandwich thin.

After lunch Phil set up their shower tent and it was lovely to have a nice shower.

Shower tent – a wet room with shower and a dry room beside it. Luxury.

Tonight is roast night, so we then started work on building a few piles of wood in readiness.

All hands on deck for wood, prepping the camp ovens, vegies, gravy, cheese sauce, setting the table etc etc. It was one of our best roasts ever in my opinion. Roast lamb and beef with onions, carrots, pumpkin, sweet potato, cauliflower and broccoli. Yummo.

Then the great clean up – lots of dishes and lunch dishes as well. Good wipe down of plates and messy knives, tongs etc helps

The GFG (Goog’s Finska Ground) was prepared for the second test while Roast dinner was cooking. A few breaks for meal prep. The results were Gold to Col, Silver to Stef, bronze by default to me (everyone else struck out). Good Goog’s fun.

Then a sit around the fire, with another quite mild night. The clouds came and went with stars appearing here and there when the clouds cleared.
Then there was discussions about having another rest day here. Quite the luxury if it actually happens.
