Slept brilliantly last night, just took a little while to nod off. No heating required it was very mild overnight.
Normal slow start to breaky. Washing done and hung out.

Some phaffing jobs done, for me that was unpick the fridge cover so it can be removed, silicon the tent zip. The fellas had another attempt to address Col’s gas stove issue. Phil working on his trailer brakes again.

After phaffing it was down the street for a nice cafe lunch at the Mint Bush Gallery and Cafe. Meg and Stef collected stuff from the Post Office.

Topped up fruit supplies and some other bits and pieces.
A daytime walk along the Jetty was called for. Nowhere near as still as last night but more to be seen. I took a couple of phone calls dealing with some stuff at home. Wandered along looking at fish, starfish, the many colours and shapes of living things on the pylons of the jetty – which were concerningly rusted quite thin in places.

At the end of the Jetty we met a lovely young fella (AJ) squid fishing. He had caught a few and while I was talking to him he caught a bigger one. He was happy to chat and tell me all about squiding and his life in general. He is born and bred here and loves Ceduna. About 11 or 12 maybe. He kept me there chatting for quite a while. There were another group of young fellas on the jetty who were also catching a few.

Then it was off to full up 4 Jerry cans of fuel in readiness for heading out to Goog’s track and beyond tomorrow. I whizzed to the car wash to clean up the results of an ugly diesel spill back in Lameroo.

Then home for a cuppa and treat – apple and rhubarb tarts for Mary and Phil and a Shitbox rally fundraising cookie for me.
It was nice chilling for a bit and then it started to rain so we sat in the van for a bit.
Also today was washing morning, everything dirty was washed and hung out for most of the day, before being dried off in the dryer, folded and put away before tea, with a game of table tennis in the games room while the last load dried.
Then it was time to pack up our leftovers for tea and head over to the camp kitchen to heat and eat out of the rain.

Home to pack up a bit and shower and ready for bed.
As I write this we are currently in discussion via messenger about having a roast out on Goog’s track. We’ve all agreed, but which meat is the current debate.
