Back towards home today, sadly, stopped to do some shopping at the Bendleby shop. Even more sadly, I got a message from home, my house had been broken into and robbed. The neighbours on both sides did a great job and got the police in etc. something for me to deal with when I get home.
Coming out towards Orreroo we actually saw our first camels of the trip by the roadside. Shortly after Meg spotted an Emu on the road and as I passed, I saw it was a Dad with a bunch of chicks, that pulled me up quickly – stopped for photos.

Checked out the old Red Bridge and Big River Red Gum near Orreroo and found a couple of Port Lincoln form Ringnecked parrots and a corella hanging about in a nearby old River Red gum.

A quick coffee stop in Orreroo to do some ‘life admin’ (arrange via insurance to have the broken window boarded up) then onto the homeward journey.

Through Peterborough, along the Barrier and to Goyder Highway. We struck some wind and rain.
Quick/late lunch stop in Burra, then our next stop was bloody quarantine bin. I had to quickly eat an apple and banana and Mary and Phil ate the other two bananas I had. Also chucked an onion and part of a lemon.

Over the Murray at Renmark…

…then onto Mildura – we lashed out for ensuite sites. It was after 7 when we arrived. A quick set up and…
Off for tea at The Setts Pub.

It was pumping with a live piano bar / which was actually a loud piano/guitar duo. Tea was good.
Then back to vans for shower and bed.

So sorry to hear what’s gone on at home while you were away. You have great neighbours. Thinking of you as you sort what maybe missing. Hugs Lynette x

Unfortunately quite a bit of technology has been taken. Which is very annoying. Lost photos and files and laptop and cameras etc. no major damage though for which I’m grateful.

Love the emu and chicks. So cute. What a downer re the breakin and theft. A pain to have to organise stuff whilst on the road enjoying what nature has to offer. Lynne

Time to find a house sitter with a big dog. Reach out if you need anything.

Finally able to read your blog as home with unlimited wifi. Comm Games are a bit of a distraction though.
Love that Emu Dads manage the child care. Mighty cute little charges too!
Total bummer re break in at home. Hate that you’ve lost priceless memories. No security camera? Ours kept us alert to Joy tending to our plants while we were away – not always great as a tad noisy in middle of night (time difference, not Joy going nocturnal!).
Hope to have a Breakie’ (or after tennis at Danbos) catch up soon.
