Up and about.
Lots of moisture in the air so wet awnings and tents to dry out as best we could while having breakfast and packing up.

Headed off to have a look at the Algebuckina Bridge over the Neale River and back onto the Oodnadatta Track.

Fuel and coffee stop at the Pink Roadhouse Oonadatta. There was queue for fuel.

Refilled some empty water bottles and container before stopping a little way out of town at the Old Telegraph Line post.

Amazing how these posts stand up to the weather out here over 100 years.
Off towards Dalhousie and lunch stop between the dunes about 12:45. Back on the road at 1:25.

Think we all have the whiff of a swim at Dalhousie.

Pulled up for a look at Dalhousie Ruins for some photos and onto Dalhousie Hot Springs for a much needed swim and soak. Left there at 4:35 for 3 O’clock Bore, where we planned to camp. On arrival at the area we decided to hang it and head to Mt Dare with the hope of both a campsite and tea.

We arrived at 6:05 and we snagged a camp and an 8 o’clock booking. The Finke desert race is happening this weekend and the Mt Dare Hotel is pumping. Needless to say we were very lucky. Quite a few rolled in after us.

Tea was good and washed down with a couple of drinks. We also lucked an empty laundry and got a load of washing done. So now everything except my pjs are clean and ready to start again!
Once home from the pub, I managed to find hanging space for the clothes and decided to have our last shower for probably a week or more tonight. It was a pretty shitty shower but I’m clean and ready to go. I went back to the laundry to wash the undies, bra and shirt and am writing this from bed. Not sure when we will have service to finalise and upload.
