Planning for this trip began late 2023. The Madigan Line across the Simpson is a more challenging track evidently and towing of campervan is not allowed. For me this meant sorting out how to camp out of a car again. Madigan Line also requires the carrying of additional fuel which posed another challenge.
Preparations included purchasing roof racks then borrowing dad‘s roof basket which I sorted out at Christmas. I also had finally got around to organising to have the set of drawers built into the back of the car and also the fridge which would give me a full backseat again.
Drawers were installed in February just in time for a quick trip away to Mallacoota.
Other purchases and planning were done overtime and things sped up after My trip to South Korea and Singapore.
Back to work for one month and lots to do to be ready for the big trip.
There are a few hurdles but eventually we are ready to roll.
Today is the day!
