Finally last night I managed to dislodge the first iceberg of the trip. From my 1960s Kelvinator. See the pic above.
Off to the hairdresser for tidy up and colour.

I was pondering last night that I haven’t introduced the crew I’m travelling with. We met many moons ago through Volleyball and have had many, many camping and 4wd adventures since then. We all get along really well and I reckon are a great group of travel companions. Mary and I did Antarctica 10 years ago.
Meet Phil and Mary – pic below.

Mary and I arranged a cab for 6.30 – so we had some time to kill so drinks were required.

Funnily the head barman inquired about our masks. We explained our trip and need to be COVID negative . He was checking that we weren’t off a cruise and possibly infectious.
From drinks a cab – not the one we booked – but same company and a pretty new Kluger. Tea at Ciloms Airport lodge. then back to the room for a cuppa and to pack and unpack and weigh stuff and shuffle and weigh. Early start in the am – alarm set for 4.30
