A balmy 8° this morning with sunshine and rain on route to meeting Place at Steve’s in Drouin. Arrived about 8:20 followed by Brian and Ann and Stef.

Departed at 8:55.
My leading through Melbourne was not up to scratch, missed the Bolte turn off, then took the Old Calder instead of new Calder…and yet they still let me lead.
Lunch at Charlton Bakery, lovely people and food/coffee.

Arrived at Coachman’s Tourist Park at 4:30, with Mary and Phil 15 minutes ahead and Col and Mary about 15 minutes behind. Kate has arrived about 2:30.
Tents/swags all set up.

Rearranging of vehicles, fridges and roof racks was the order of the day. Kate put some washing on. Ann and Brian went for a look around Mildura and the River.

Dinner at The Black Stump and conflab re our forward plan.

There are rains in the desert area and roads are closed. I think we have decided to head to Flinders Ranges and review road conditions.
Home to campground, a bit of phaffing about, shower and bed. Let’s see how the swag goes.

So you are fallible after! Can’t believe you stuffed up missing the Bolte 🙂 but I see you got the “lie flat bed” at the end of the day. Go well Nicola I know you love it.

I was wondering about that corner country. All roads closed. We are looking at Flinders too. Albeit not leaving for 3 weeks. Exciting.

Irene Moolooloo station in the Flinders was great. We want to go back again and have more time exploring the station. Check em out on the web.
