Up and atom at about 7ish. Time to phaff, finalise yesterday’s blog and back up photos I forgot to do last night. Pack for day with our breakables (mainly technology) with us, so luggage can be left at 11.00. They will take on board and meet us in our cabins later this arvo. Mary and Phil have harbour views and we could see the MS Sylvia Earle is at dock.

We have our dreaded COVID test booked at 8.30. Just in case you haven’t gathered why we are fixated on this and wearing our masks. IF we test positive this morning – there is NO cruise!

With first test done and won, we are off to breaky, it’s snowing outside this morning so we have decided on a long breaky and to get our luggage down and sit around till town tour about 12.45.

We are currently sitting in the bar with most of the cruisers I reckon. I went down and chatted with Emanuel who was moving luggage into the cargo bus. Still snowing, more heavily now. Emanuel lives In Ushuaia year round and said this is a typical autumn day. It’s foggy.

Went to order some coffee, queued up with a couple of ladies who were lovely. We were wondering how many on board and they commented that there is one less. They had seen a woman delivered a positive result this morning. What a gut wrench that would be. So we feel more and more vindicated as we sit here surrounded by unmasked travellers.
